Manual Osteopath, Registered Massage Therapist Bachelor of Science, Kinesiology
From the far east of Canada, Kati began her training as a massage therapist, focusing on Sport Therapy and Rehabilitative Treatment.
While gaining experience and developing her sense of touch, she became hungry for more knowledge of the body and its functions. This led her to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick, focusing her studies on exercise physiology and functional movement analysis.
Coming to the end of her undergraduate studies, she wanted better manual treatment methods and a larger scope of practice.
Unsure of where to turn, she made the quick decision to get a holiday work visa and spent the summer working in New Zealand, exposing herself to another country and culture.
It was here that she stumbled across Osteopathy, a major health practice in New Zealand and Australia (and Europe and the UK too!). As she learned more about the profession and its treatment principles, she quickly became enthralled by the possibilities and potential it brought to her hands—literally. The idea of being able to correct and treat all the structures of the body with one pair of hands became the new drive of her career.
When she came back to Canada, she finished her undergraduate studies, moved across the country and dived into the intensive Manual Osteopathic training.
Now, Kati owns her own practice as a Manual Osteopath and Registered Massage Therapist, continuing to focus her practice on functional and rehabilitative manual treatment.
